I have ~20 days for the trip so I am looking at some long days (avg ~500 miles per day).
.. then back to Fairbanks to change bikes and head to MO.
Spring for a "MilePost" ! You will get to see all the access routes, and even the Marine Hwy.
+1 on the MilePost mag. Used it when driving from Anchorage to lower 48 back in '89. Helpful in planning daily routes, site seeing, camping and arranging for Bed & Breakfast's. The MilePost is a must if traveling the Al-Can!

I was wondering which bike you were planning on riding out this summer...
I'm starting to plan for a trip in July, might be able to make it June, will need to work around the wife's plan. Anyone still planning a trip?
