Any R65's in black with double pinstripes?

A friend has asked me to redo his dual shock R65 (not LS) in a classic black with double white pinstripes a la the vintage Earles fork bikes. If anyone has any photos of an R65 with this paint scheme (or any color with double pinstripes), would you please post a pic?

I found this photo on Phil Hawksley's bmbikes.co.uk site with the image titled "Scotty McLaughlin's 1980 R65 with Steib sidecar". I think it looks great, but the image file is not that big, so I can't see the tank and fender clearly, and I can't see how he ran the stripes behind the seat.

Any help would be appreciated - thanks!

I think the R65 came out for the '79 season? On this page:

mostly the '78 models, has some nice photos of tanks with double stripes. Down the page is an R65 but there's only so much detail...it looks like a single stripe. That image came from the front cover of the Butler and Smith magazine. That magazine is also here:

Still, just looks like a single pin stripe.

This photo is from BMW's ad slick dated 1984. Looks like only 1 stripe, and it does not go down the back of the tank. Hope this helps.

    Thanks

Thank you both for the photos and the links to the ephemera - I will enjoy many hours going through those old brochures!

I understand that the R65 never came from the factory with double pinstripes. If anyone has photos of repainted bikes where the owner opted for double pinstripes, that is what would be helpful for me to see. If you look at the R65 and sidecar in my original post, there are pinstripes on the front fender - I don't think any R65 had stripes on the fender from the factory - so this is clearly a respray, but it is something I want to emulate. That is why I'd like to see other examples if there are any out there.

    Thanks!

I'm pretty sure all the black ones came with the classic red/white dual stripes.... mine did. I don't remember ever seeing any with dual white stripes.

    Capt D,

Here's a link to my recently finished restored 81 R65. Original paint scheme. Rguy is right; my 81 came with white and red pin stripes on seat cowl and tank.
