    Rams rally 2016

Sponsored by the BMW Riders of The Midsouth
Sept. 30-Oct. 2 Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground
    22580 Highway 22 North
    Parkers Crossroads, Tn.
Located 1.5 miles north of I-40
This is the easiest rally to get to out in the country. Good riding in the area. You allready know a good local restaurant, Patty's just across the Interstate about 3 miles south. It's as good as it gets.
    Are You Ready?
I realy love hyping this. It really don't need hyping, I just like doing it.

    Hard Labor

Been home doing Honey dos and no Honey. Yard work, lawn mower, weeding, raking, shoveling, hoeing, edging Poisoned the weeds and fertilized, Weed and Feed. Kinda worked. Why am I having to pull so many weeds. Bend over, pull weed, if it resists get shovel or hoe underneath root, pull and remove. Go to next weed. Oh my aching back, neck, and shoulders. Trimming trees, up in the trees, on the roof. Up the ladder, down the ladder. Move the ladder. I went to the BMWMOA National in Lima, Ohio. My big purchase was Jaws the ladder. It's a life saver.

    Tools or Instruments of War

Crude old fashion tools, what I used to address the all the yard issues. The single bit axe and the pitch fork I added for visual effect. I could outfit a small peasant army for an assault on Frankenstein's castle.

OK, I admit it I had some modern equipment to use in conjunction with the old implements. Electric chainsaw, electric long reach chainsaw, gas power weed blower, etc. You better be in shape to use this stuff. My days are numbered for these kinds of tools.

    Jaws the Ladder

This was the star of the recent yard work. Up the tree and on the roof. Bought this ladder at the Lima MOA National. I know, got to motorcycle rally and buy a ladder. Before that rally, I had been on the roof doing some work. Just barely reached the roof. really scared me. Anyway this ladder made getting on the roof a cinch and safe.

No I don't have any connection to this company. Just like show some of the senior citizens like me a safe way to get up to a higher level safely.
My neighbor who's not a senior citizen was work on his roof about a month ago. His ladder was tall enough, but looked flimsy. Went to get my ladder, it was gone. A buddy had it to get on his roof. My neighbor's an EMT and fireman. Told him to wait a day and I would get the ladder back home. Told me not to worry about. About an hour later, the ladder collapsed with him on it. Result was a couple of broke ribs.Just sayin. I think I'll be OK to trim
a few more limbs this fall, but after that, I'm calling tree surgeons.

This pic shows the wide base. This ladder does have one drawback, it's heavy. You seniors, may want to enlist your senior citizen buddy for help moving it around.

    Bikes on Beale Street/ Memphis

From my backyard I'm maybe between 1/8 to 1/4 mile from I-55. Through the trees I can see highway traffic as it rises up the overpass going over Highway 64. I can here the Harley's as they approach, they actually sound pretty good from this distance. Most are headed south then in a couple miles they will head east to Memphis. Their headed to Bikes on Beale Street, it's Bike Nite. I haven't been in a good while, think I'll head over and take a few pics. Time to see some cool bikes.
