Mid-South ride, eat, and meet

Finally got out of the house. My buddy Ron needed help to get a couple window unit air conditioners out and stored for the winter. While there I saw his old '62 Chevy Bel Air SS sitten in a nice profile.
I miss named this car. It's a Impala SS not a Bel Air. I plead the fifth, it was late, I was tired, I was sick, I'm a Ford guy. Any how, it's a Impala. Bottom line is it's a cool car. :thumb

Merry Christmas Ya'll

Just a Merry Christmas shout out to all on Christmas Eve, from Marion and all the Mid-South. :type:wave

While at church yesterday, James and Faye Johnson invited me over for Christmas lunch with their families. Of all the offers, I had; it was the best. Actually, it was the only offer I had; it would have been the best anyway. Lunch was great as usual, all the fixins and trimins. Actually I went to see how James was coming in his hot street custom resto rod; '41 Ford Custom Deluxe.

James said he had it out and drove it around his neighborhood the other day. He's in his mid 70's. Your making progress James, it's really looking good.

It seems like most of my buds/friends all have old car or motorcycle projects in play. Old dudes with old vehicle projects. Fine with me. I've got mine going, kinda. 2018, get the '87 K100 project up and running, freshen up the '94 R11RS, get the Classic Bavarian Bagger back on track, help Leo with the R80ST project. My plate's full. Hope you have plenty of plans for '18. Oh yes, most important, do some real riding this coming year. :thumb:dance

Lentz Gatlin's Garage

Was over in Arlington Tn. the other day. Stopped by to see a buddy of mine and see his latest cool bikes.

I think in the lower right hand corner is the carrier machined out in stainless and used as the model to make one in a light weight composite.

Back when Lentz was big time into Performance K100's, Eddie did a lot of the custom design and development on the bike. After the completion of that bike, Lentz had Eddie design and build a supercharged K100 engine. Eddie completed the job. But it was a long time in the development stage to completion. Lentz by that time was pretty much through with K100s. Anyway Eddie ended up with the hipo K100 and the one off supercharged engine. I rode with Lentz when he was riding the K100 and I saw the super charged being developed at Eddie's shop. It was close to completion. Then it just fell off the rader screen. This was all over 20 years go. I knew Eddie had it. A couple of years ago I asked Eddie about the bike and the engine. I wanted to do an article about the both of them. He said it wasn't possible at that time. At the little gettogather the other day, he was ready for me to come over and see the bike and the separate engine. I'm kinda excited about it.
