Thx for Ur kind comments. I rode that R90/6 like this for 50,000 to 100,000 miles. Not real sure; the odometer was pretty erratic during this time. Finally gave up the ghost and bit the dust. Rode it pretty much like this on trips to 3 or 4 Daytona Bike Week trips. A couple of times down to Key West and Flamingo Point. Those were the days.

Early 90’s, I did a little upgrade to it. Hard to believe it’s the same bike. /6’s have good bones.

Old School Touring
Most of my tours were done pre computer. When I crossed state lines, I would pull into the state welcome centers. Pick up the free state highway maps and any free city maps that I thought would help. Usually I would pick up several state maps. At first, I generally tore them up to get the right area to fit the tank bag map pouch. I learned to separate the maps on their natural fold up creases. I kept my eyes open for any area tourist info centers. Anything to help me find my way. Yep, those pre gps days seem so old school now.
