I've gotta couple of sets of both the Mac Whispertones and a couple of sets of the Bub glasspack mufflers. If I'm building a airhead to tour definently the Mac and if I'm building an airhead for short trips hanging with the sporty boys it's the Bub glasspack mufflers. Pick your poison.

Took a nap today, then got a message from a couple of biker buddies of mine. Meet us over at the VFW in West Memphis. Yep, better go see my old buddies. Ran with these guys back when I ran with all the patch clubs in Memphis. That was another time in my life. But these are good guys, retired Navy. Got up and got over to the VFW, I guess its beer:30. Good to catch up with my old biker buddies; were getting older.

Hammer got his name, Hammer because he was always working on the building and property. Banging away with his hammer.

Leo doing a little fine tuning on the Ford flathead engine at Road Atlanta Raceway. Car wasnt too fast, but got around in ok fashion. The engine had a beautiful sound. It was a good day at the track.

    Leo/69 Norton Ranger P-11

I think this is at Atlanta at the Speedway vintage car racing, SVRA. The racers were invited to bring bikes to ride the track that week. Leo was the last Norton dealer in the Mid-South/Memphis. Leo really liked the Ranger model. If I remember corrrectly, Leo ended up buying back all the Rangers he sold to his customers. Cool bike, it was a desert sled.

    Allard/Norton P-11 Ranger

i don't think my comments thru. i meant to say something about the prominent waterfall grill on that Allard; I always thought the car elegantly ugly. That said I'd still cruz around in it with a smile on my face. i also meant to comment on the development of that Norton. Most guys recognize the Norton Commando as classic, a few remember the Norton Atlas, it's predecessor. The P-ll was developed due to demand from American desert racers; from the mid/late 60's. Clint Eastwood rode one and really liked it. Totally, one cool bike with a unique history.

    86 Jag XK6

Ran across this pic of a beautiful 4 door Jag. This was at a British car show in Memphis, Tn. back in the 90s. This car was commissioned for a build by Lentz Gatlin. Leo was the builder. It was an extensive rebuild. Engine, trans, inside, outside; basically no expense spared. It really was over the top. Leo put all his experience to use in this build. It was totally cool, fast and elegant. Leo was/is a Jag specialist. Wow!

Mid 90s Road Atlanta Jimmy Dobbs at the wheel. If I remember correctly, this was a $250,000-500,000 car in the mid 90s. Leo knew exotic Italian race cars. Here the Maserati was leading an Allard J2X. This Maserati had simple beautiful lines; it was gorgeous.
