Mid-South ride, eat, and meet

I’ve got 2 bands holding the side covers. Kinda funny, I’ve been away from riding Airheads for some time, yes I gotta few just haven’t been messing with them. The last one I was riding was a ‘71 R50/5. ‘70/‘71 /5 models didn’t have side covers. Side covers are basically just a decoration. I guess it’s job is to be a platform to name the bike or state the size of the engine in cc’s.

Trash- Time For Earth Day

My coffee pot hit the skids and stopped brewing coffee, Bummer. Started walking down the back ally to Burger King to get a large coffee in the morning. Finally got a new coffee pot. But, trash piled up behind the restaurant bothered me.

The back of the restaurant sits up on a berm. Customers sitting cars in the back of the property throw the to go bags off the berm. Outa site and outa mind. Thought about complaining to the staff or the city. The trash blows all over the back property. I guess it only bothers me. Time for my own Earth Day cleanup.

Well, when I walk to the restaurant or the auto parts store, its’s going to a better and cleaner walk. Now back to motorcycles.:dance

Yea, walking down the gravel road picked up all that trash. Walking across the the little tree area covered in trash. Couldn’t take it no more.

Messed with my mind. Better now.:)

10-4 Paul. Probably do that next Monday. I did get my exercise. Slep most of the rest of the day. Oh well. Glad I’m still able to work.

Thx Guy's; I guess I'm old school Old Green Deal; clean up Ur own mess. Apparently that ain't happening much today. Anyway it looks better now. I know the guy, Gordon in charge of the property for the city. He said he'll get the old TV set removed. The bush hog guys should be able to do a better job. Gordon also owns the bar I hang out at and that helps. Anyway I'll try to get back to motorcycles my favorite hobby.

Growing up in the 60’s, muscle cars were cool. Growing up in Hot Springs and Batesville, Ar. Saw cars like this everywhere. They really looked good at the drive-ins lined up in rows with the hoods opened up. The guys all showing off their latest greatest. Yep, the good old days.

The I-40 Bridge at Memphis is Open

It opened last week and the nightmare is over. Drove over for a visit to ShakeRag and see my biker buddies.

After the Covid shutdown and the bridge closing disaster, it really felt good to get out and see some bikes.

I walk to both ends twice for a short walk at a pretty good pace. Now working on extending the walk on both ends for a longer walk. Where I walk looks like jungle surrounded by huge deep ditches on the north end and then east or west.

End of the walk heading north. Ahead is a big ditch, then huge farm land.

I can walk west.

Or, I can walk east back toward I-55, till I run into a big ditch, usually full of water. This year anyway.
