2010 1200 RT - Service Interval Warning

105258

Old Rider - OK Mechanic
I like to do most of the maintenance on my 2010 RT, and do it at intervals much less than the 10,000 kms specified by BMW or to firt specific road trips. However the dealer resets the interval on 10,000 intervals so I get the warning when starting the bike, when in fact there is no need for service.

Anyone know how to reset this feature without going to the dealer ?

If you have a GS-911 you can set the service reminder at any date/mileage periods you pick.
You could also simply enter some "way out there" date/mileage that in effect turns the service reminder off for a decade or two if you prefer not to be pestered by it. Your dealer could also do this but probably won't. (Unless the factory computer has some wired limit the GS-9922 doesn't).
