footpegs

I am beginning to research footpegs that can be installed on my 2010 f650gs twin. I really need some footpegs for long distance riding. From what I have read, I will need to purchase crash bars. Has anyone purchased footpegs for this bike? If so, are you happy with them? Thanks for the reviews and advice.

What kind of riding

Hi,

The pegs will depend on what kind of riding you want to do and the type of boots you were.
1. Normal riding I would leave the OEM on;
2. If you do a bit of standing, just remove the rubber;
3. Off-road, with MX boots get pegs that are built towards the back (see touratech)
4. Off-road with touring boots get the pegs built forwards (see touratech)

hope it helps.

I have the F800GS and only removed the rubbers and were MX boots and did 1 season, next summer I will have option #3
