Little bit more storage space

I am planning an extended 2 up trip next year and will be using my 2000 R1100RT. I am considering buying the aerostitch tank panniers. Has anyone used those on an RT? Any other suggestions for add on soft luggage. I have a tank bag. Thanks for the input

I have a set of the Aerostich tank panniers (they're for my wife's R1150GS. I at one point owned an R11RT.

I can't imagine the panniers fitting on the RT, as there would be no leg room. On the GS, they sit up forward on the tank, ahead of the tank's knee indentations. On the RT, the fairing sides are there, so they'd have to sit farther back on the tank, in your knee space.

I'd suggest a couple roll bags to put on top of the saddlebags, adjacent to your passenger's hips/thighs. Of course, this blocks what little (if any) rearview mirror view that you may have left with the passenger's legs on the bike, but that can be cured by installing a set of OE long-stem mirrors in the unused mirror stem holes in the left and right grip assemblies.

Thanks I kinda figured the fit would not work well. I think on top of the saddle bags would be the way to go
