Hello - I am riding solo on Sunday 9/12 (yes thru the showers!) starting around 11 from VA up 15 thru Gettysburg to Harrisburg onto 81 to Scranton then 84 east all the way to Boston [area]. Figuring 10+ hours from say 11-9~. Anyone needing to ride that route that wants a fellow bimmer-rider alongside, lmk. tx RR

How did it go? I am near Richmond and we had some rain during the night into the early morning. Condiitons improved as the day went on. Highs and lows of the route you chose?

route review

It rained about half the way. on advice, wisely avoided I-95 and opted to go northwest from Dulles to Leesburg, there picked up 15 north which is nice thru Gettysburg but then deteriorates approaching Harrisburg. It was intermittent misty drizzle, so not too bad. Got 81 there and veered north toward Scranton. Got chilly in the north hills, but light traffic and few trucks made it okay. Picked up 84 and that was good too, or as good as slab can be. Ran hard across NY + CT. Home in metro-Boston at 9 pm. 10 hrs but generally okay....they're awesome bikes for putting large distances of pavement behind you quickly and comfortably! Actually felt like the machine liked the long day...
