I am in the process of personalizing my new K1300S and am looking into a different color in paint and maybe some striping. Any suggestions on paint as far as brand etc that works well with the existing BMW paint that I can suggest to the body shop doing the work? The existing color is light gray metallic which looks like off white. Thanks.

Having painted a BMW motorcycle and having a couple of good buddies in the auto body business I would not recommend a brand to the body shop. They probably use a particular brand and are comfortable with it. Thinning and hardener ratios, volume for coverage. If they are good they know what they are doing. I would ask and make sure they use a base coat/clear coat urethane paint. I'm sure they do since it's more durable and easier to work with than single stage paint.
