power commander in a bmw?

anybody here use one?
i got one for my '09 harley to richen the mixture and reduce combustion temp. the factory setting was pretty lean to pass epa reqjuirements.

What model BMW do you have? On my K1200 and R12GS, BMW seems to have the FI pretty well dialed in. Over heating is not really an issue, and fuel economy is good. I did install a Techlusion on the R1150GS (single spark) I had, for low throttle surging. Power Commander would probably have worked too.
Harley is a different story. Their FI functions perfectly but air cooled Harleys may not have effective enough cooling to run as lean as they need to for emissions. I went with TTS software to "tweak" the FI maps and closed loop operation on mine.

got an r1200r. it runs fine. i was just curious about power commanders in bmw's.
as i understand it, after installation you plug it into a wireless laptop, go to the power commander web site and play with the software. the program in the bike's
'puter is not modified.
just an acedemic exercise. makes for good conversation at the local slopchute.

Talk to Chris at San Jose BMW. When I worked there we did a lot of testing with the tuning of the power commanders for BMWs and got them all dialed in. Chris has long time experience with them and DynoJet.

A lot of the guys on the K-Bikes.com site with K12/13 S/R, etc use them. Especially the earlier model 1200Ss to smooth out delivery.
