BMW MOA Rider Performance University Member Survey

To better meet the training and educational needs of MOA Members we are asking members to please take a moment to complete an on-line survey. We want to know a little bit about your on and off-pavement interests. The survey includes the types of bikes ridden INCLUDING SIDECARS, years riding, training experience, your opinion of the classes we have provided in the past and a few miscellaneous subjects. The results of this survey will enable us, your RPU staff, to create new training and educational opportunities for national, regional and local delivery.

The survey is easy and fast. It does not require your name or a password: https://rpusurvey.questionpro.com

Thanks for your time and for helping us,
Ramey 'Coach' Stroud and Tom Pemberton

BMW MOA Training and Education

In what capacity? Where does that link go? Issaquah? Is this a solicitation?

Hi,

The link goes to an on-line training survey developed by our club for our club. Rider Performance University is the training and education program of the BMW Owners of America. It's not a scam.

Thanks,
Coach

'77 R100/7 Dirt Hack

This is a dirt hack I built in 1984 from a bunch of parts, some old, some new. The heart is a rebuilt '77 R100/7. The outfit now has 165K and the photo is recent.image.jpg

Very nice indeed....

I have been considering a side-car rig. More room for carrying camping gear . And camping is looking more attractive as motels are getting ridiculous in price & condition. Even the ^$ places are looking "shabby" lately.

Nice looking rig ! Looks as though ya had a bit of rain in that middle picture....:whistle

Thanks Ron. The sidecar was on the bike when it left the showroom in '85. About 75,000 on it now, 12,000 plus since April 2014. Definitely a different world than solo bikes. The "wet" photo was in Escanaba, MI, across the street from Hereford & Hops, a local micro brew. Stayed just a tad too long. The camping was with five of my seven siblings on a camping/fishing/canoe trip on the Ontanagon River, near Watersmeet, MI.

Got my sidecar painted to match my bike about 6 weeks ago, and had both side panels & the front fender repaired & repainted at the same time.

Used to look like this:

Now looks like this:

If you live in the DC area & need any paint work done, get in touch. I know a guy that does fantastic work!!

Bill Ballou Rig

DSC_1005.jpg

Mine is the second from the right-04 K1200GT/Hannigan Bandito . This was at Summit Point raceway in WV this August. I think there were 14 rigs total. All built by Bill Ballou with center hub steering, sway bars and car tires all the way around. HPsidecars.com is his site. Not your regular sidecar!
oops.. the white RT next to mine is not one of Bill's rigs.
