Let's get this started with a show and tell...mostly show!
This is my current rig. 1985 K100 with EML sidecar...

recently someone (can't remember who) ask me about hooking up a sidecar to a r1200c. When I think of who it was, I will send him your way.

Nice rig!

One of the very first showings of the then new R1200C by BMW was with a sidecar rig. It was painted a maroon color. Wish I had a picture of it.:dunno

When I started thinking about getting a sidecar, I did not know what I was looking for. I was riding a '91 GS/PD at the time, and came across this. At the time it was my 'fantasy' rig! I realised soon after, that buying a pre-built rig is MUCH cheaper then building your own.

Kids and a dog...what a combo...
California sidecar hooked up to a '77 GL1000...

Lmo1131...when I said 'I came across this'...I should have said 'a friend sent me this'. I've had the picture so long, I do not even recall exactly where I got it.
I don't know anything about the heeler...not even which side of the Atlantic it's on. It looked 'so' Europeen, I presumed it was on the other side of the pond.
Sorry for any confusion.

If I may chime in: the "Heeler" is a sidecar model made by Tripteq, a company from the Netherlands. They offer this as a real DIY sidecar addition. The picture is most likely from the other side of the pond.

If it were wouldn't the hack be on the other side?

If it were wouldn't the hack be on the other side?

Why that? In Europe, only in the U.K. they drive on the left. (And many even don't consider the U.K. part of Europe:laugh) All other countries drive on the right side of the road, like in the U.S., ergo the hack should be on the right.
Except for the U.K., only in Japan, Australia and New Zealand and on St Croix ist left side traffic.
