Where you keep your Bikes

How many miles can you ride that MV before you have to get off?

And where's the RSL?

20 minutes

the RSL was sold a few weeks ago. If I could sell the MV and the Moto Guzzi a K1200R Sport would find its way into the mix..........

Mine just moved into their own place. It's small but nice.

2 in the 2 car garage with room for a 3rd. There is a steel 26'x26' quonset hut in the back yard presently used for storage (Xmas, Thanksgiving, tools , workbench, lead casting equipment, junk, lawn/garden equipment, etc). I'm thinking of cutting a hole in the 8" thick slab floor and placing a motorcycle lift in it so you can drive on/off. The top of the lift is basically level with the slab and out of the way when not in use. I have seen set ups like this and like the idea. I have lots of shade and almost never park my car in the garage. Ride Safe :usa :usa

Home to my two bikes and a 1945 Willys in the summer. Two more bikes I store for my daughter and a friend in the winter.

When I grow up, I want a garage. Within a couple of years, I plan on building one. For now, the 'Tempo' shelter keeps snow/rain of my rigs. Municipal law requires them to be taken down by June 1st, but I live in the last house at the end of a dead end road. No one sees it in the summer so no one complains. It's one step up from a snowbank!

I need a bigger garage!

I think I've reached my current limit...1/4 of a two car garage. :(

And we thought you were a good mechanic. Instead of fixing your bikes while
on a long trip, you just hitch a ride to the next big city where you have another
bike ready to go.:nyah

Maybe a little truth there - but no hitching rides. If it breaks on the road it usually gets fixed on the road. But I have dropped off a bike that needed tires or a major service and picked up another so as to not hinder the travels. We did that in 2008 when we got back to the midwest from Alaska. Dropped of the F650s and picked up the R1150R and R1100RS and headed to the MOA national rally.

Later in the year I did major services on both F650s, mounted 4 new tires, etc., when it didn't interfere with prime riding.

This year we headed out - Voni on a K75S. She found an F800S she wanted, but her trade-in was her R1100S. So we rode back to Texas from Iowa to drop off the K75S, picked up her R1100S and rode it to Arkansas, where she bought the F800S, and proceeded with our summer travels.

Folks have to be nimble at times, dontcha know!

p.s. We sold the two F650s so are now back down to the 11 I originally thought we owned.

Willys

Yes, a '45 Willys MB. In the "before" phase of a planned restoration. In actuality it is serving as a storage area for everything that doesn't have a home.

You can see it doubling as a workbench behind the Concours I brought home in a snowstorm last Feb. No, all that rhime ice wasn't from riding!

Dang. Wish I was able to forget how many bikes I owned.

Several years ago there was a bike counting day at a friends place. We pulled bikes out of the garage. We pulled bikes out of the shed he he'd built several years earlier to house the overflow. Then we pulled bikes out of his living room, his dining room, and I think the hallway (but it might have been the bedroom). We did not count the several box-of-parts-that-could-someday-be-a-bike unless it was accompanied by a rolling chassis.

You sure you want to be able to forget how many bikes you own? :laugh

While this is not me it is a Cycle Shell. It is where i keep my bikes.
I sold the last one with the 96RT and ordered my new one for the 02RT today.
Great Product as it has a floor in it. Real quality made in USA.
Mark is also a great guy.

Mike

I presently have a metal 26'x26' quonset hut and a 2 car garage for 1 car, and soon 3 motorcycles as I just purchased an R100RT with a Ural sidecar to keep my 2004 CLC and 2006 HD FSXTI company. I really need to retire so I can ride more.

Ride Safe :usa :usa
