Redmond Lodging alternative...

Chairman of the hoard
Lodging booked up very quickly for the rally this year (heck, *every* year) and this year I went with a little different tack... I rented a house and will split the rental with a few buddies. This is still an option for anyone looking for someplace to stay, and with a few buddies joining you to split the costs, can be a pretty reasonable alternative! The outfit I went with is Care Free Vacations:

I had a nice conversation with Betsy, who has a couple properties available and booked a nice one to fit my, and friend's needs. I found them through this site:

So if you are still looking for an alternative to sleeping on the ground, maybe this will turn out to be a good alternative for you too!

VRBO.com is a site that my wife uses to rent houses. It stands for Vacation Rentals by Owners.

Very cool alternatives if traveling with a few friends or meeting up with a small group. Thanks for posting.;)
