I have a midland 75-822 cb. It came with an adapter for external power and antenna.

The question is : With the external antenna connected, do I have to terminate the connector where the rubber antenna went or is it removed from the circuit when using the adapter?

I had the same model and it worked with an external aerial without having to terminate. I just found a rubber cap and put over the connector for the rubber aerial.
