wiring questions 77 R100/7

Hello; I have had the tank off and have had a chance to examine the wiring. I replaced teh brake cable. The harness looked to be all one piece with plugs for relays and other things, spaced along it. There were a few spade connectors hanging with no place to connect to.

There is a three wire taped off wire coming out from behind the instruments. I thought it was a radar detedtor lead and didn't open it up.

The taillight wires are tied in a bundle to a pipe ending under the front of the seat. From there one goes down to the rear brake light switch, the other goes to the taillight and turn signals. Sitting on the seat puts weight on the taillight wire bundle which pulls the multiplug apart just a little bit, enough to disable the brake lights. I have re routed teh wire, but years of wear have made the plug dodgy.

How can i repair this? Tie wrap the plug? tried that.

Try silicone in the plastic part of the plug and then wrap a wire tie around the plug to grip, do not know if this will be the fix just a suggestion... matthew
