Last spring, in the driveway...actually, it's the road, but a dead end that ends at our house...

Opening day at RMNP, 2011 (very late May).
that black spot on the snow wall is my glove, stuffed as high as i can reach (about 8ft).

similar situation, from 2009's opening day.
we did not get this much snow this year, but it will still be late may before Trail Ridge is open across the top.
