Welcome and this is a great place to hang.In really south Texas we do not have curves, but we do have wind all of the time.:laugh

Welcome!

I just rode through Athens from Lufkin back to the Dallas area last week. There's some nice roads in east Texas.

+1 The Davy Crockett National Forest is one of my E. Texas favorites.
That's exactly what I was thinking about. I took Hwy 7 from Lufkin through the Davy Crockett Nat'l Forest to Crockett, then meandered north on Hwy 19 to Athens. A very pleasant ride. In the early morning (before dawn when I left), I was in more of a hurry so I took 175 from Dallas to Jacksonville, then south on 69. For being major state highways, 175 and 69 are very nice, too. Particularly some stretches of 69.

Hello. Glad to have you here. We always welcome family members from TX, we have to as there are so darn many. ;)

Looking forward to reading more of your posts.
