Lo Rider

I love concept bikes.
This is interesting as I don't think BMW has suggested offering so many different ways to trick out your ride, reminds me of what Victory is doing. Is this a blink? Doesn't matter.

I think this effort is quite interesting.

Not truly a BMW to you.

:buds

:)

KBASA, Well of course - it's a matter of opinion/preference and nothing more.

Though I would note that the only BMW components appear to be the engine, drive shaft and FD. The frame, fork, tank and running gear are decidedly not BMW. Nor has BMW ever built a bike of such limited utility. I will concede that it is a 'BMW powered' motorcycle but IMHO it is not a BMW in either concept or design. I'd call it a 'custom'.

Granted, what that all adds up to is roughly equal to zero, but it is my zero.

Ok, before we get too off topic, maybe it is better to start a thread for those that like variety in riding. Call it Bobbers and Customs, or something. The last thing I want this conversation to stray toward is the "purist":violin persons- who remarkably sound:blah like the "Harley People" they are so fond of diminishing. Do not get me wrong, I love simplicity in it's form and tradition for what it stands for. Let us not forget that "the ride' is really all it is about and nothing else matters. Ride what you like, or do we not get admission when we do not have the right t-shirt, etc? :scratch

TAFY! :usa

I saw this one about 15yrs ago at Daytona. The builder, from Oklahoma I believe, called it BeemerGlide. It was beautifully finished and turned heads. A true artist.

Bob, I guess your thread did stray a bit from the Lowriders :dunno

Sorry there - I took part in the hijacking.

With all the gushing over outlandish choppers over the previous decade I just have a hard time not interjecting my admittedly biased opinion that with few exceptions they are a waste of otherwise useful motorcycle engines.

Uh-oh, I'm going off again. Somebody stop me before i comment on the Beemer Glide; is it an improved Harley or a down graded BMW? :scratch
(Actually, that's kind of cool, and it even looks like a motorcycle you could ride somewhere on.)
