Dyno Run Sheet

Does anyone know where one could view a dyno run sheet for the 08 R1200 RT. I am just curious to see the HP and torque curves. No complaints, the bike has plenty of power. Things like this are just interesting to engineers.

There are some charts at the Power FRK website. There seems to be fairly large differences in the charts compared to ZTechnik. Maybe there were different standards followed.

Maybe someone in the group already checked theirs and could post it. Short of getting your own checked, I would think that the best bet would be finding a test in a US cycle magazine.

I'm no expert, but the torque curve shown on the Ztechnik link sure looks lumpy to me. I am hard pressed to explain those peaks and valleys in a smoothly running engine. But since they say that happened both with and without their stuff bolted on/in, I assume it is showing me something. But it looks like a bucking bronco torque curve to me.

Probably the shift points with a not so well hooked up rear tire, or the dyno was slow to resond to the changes???

But the horizontal axis on the chart is for rpm with the curve from 1500 or so up to 8000 - which ought to be a single roll on and not shifts at 4500, 5200, etc.

Dyno Runs

I have been around quite a few Dyno runs on HD's. Don't laugh I had a Softail that rear wheel dynoed 105 HP and 105 Ft Lbs of Torque. Going straight it was great. But anyway that curve looks like they shifted. Typically you don't start the reading until you you have upshifted to your gear, then you just do a smooth roll on to get a good reading. The gear for the reading depends on the bike.

So the rpm axis is for the drum? Or the whole chart is bogus? I can't tell a thing about what the engine is doing.
