I've been riding vintage Vespas for a few years now, but wanted something where highway speeds were not WOT. I picked up an R75/6, as I've always like the look of the older airheads, but liked such modern amenities as front disk brakes and a 5-speed transmission. Riding on the highway is a whole new mindset, as is all that extra power and displacement. Looking for wrenching information as well as other hints wrt airheads,

Welcome Justin. You have come to the right place for information. Check out the Airhead Forum on this site. Folks there will be able to answer any questions you have about your bike.

HERE is a list of Chartered Clubs in your area. You might want to take a look at their web sites. Lots of events with people like you.

Glad to have you here and would love to see a pic of your new bike.

Hi Justin!

I've never ridden a Vespa, but I've ridden an airhead with a group of Vespas and other vintage scooters...and I never got out of second gear...Just kidding!

Welcome, and I hope that both the bike and the 'MOA bring you much joy!

Good match:)

Vespa and BMW! Welcome. Funny how the BMW Dealers out here are selling Vespa's too:), for years now. Not all BMW Dealers but many. Mine does. The Classic 75/6 is a fine, tour the world kind of bike and with some tender care, give you some great times. Very reliable machines, of a time when BMW built some legendary bikes:). I still have one too(/7), sitting alongside my new BMW. I don't even know if BMW still uses that "Legendary Theme" anymore in their ads, but your bike was built at a time they did:)and so true...Randy
