    Hand Pump - Which Model?

I have three tire pumps, but only two bikes...huh, how'd that happen? Here they are:

When I got the R69S, I don't recall getting a pump so I bought one from Vech. Next to that is the one from my /7. The mystery pump is on the right. You can see the closed lengths. The 380mm for the R69S pump essentially matches what Vech has on his website for the length, but he doesn't have anything for around 300mm. Any ideas? I may have gotten the unknown pump from the PO...he might have thrown it in for good measure...I just don't remember.

The pumps are sized lengthwise to fit the two attach points on the frame, so there must be a specific application for the mystery pump. Anybody have any clues? Thanks...

According to Vech's website, the same pump fits the R25 through the R69S and is around the 380mm closed length...that would be the same pump for the R50/2. He also lists a pump for the /5/6 series at about 325mm long...probably the same for the /7 as my measurements show.

Craig Vechorik (aka Vech) deals mostly in pre '70 BMW parts and service but does provide some support for the early model Airheads.

The part number of the pump for a '71 R75/5 and a '76 R75/6 is the same.

    Thumbs down Armstrong Pumps

Every one I ever tried was virtually worthless, when it came to pumping up a tire.

Personally, unless it is a matter of "authenticity" I see it as a moot point.

    Just one man's humble opinion.

Well, I suppose I agree. I'm just trying to find an answer to my riddle...
