The name's James,

I'm 26 and started riding a couple of years back on a Honda Rebel.
Decided to upgrade to a BMW F650GS. Seemed like the way to go for my sporty/ off-road/ eco-friendly needs.
Loving it so far.

Heard about you guys via David Hough's Proficient Motorcycling book.

Look forward to crossing tracks with some of you as I go along and sharing tips and times ahead. I hail from Arizona (perfect Overlanding contry).

Ride safe!

Wait a min- now YOU are BMW folk, too! Welcome, and for those of us who have all the
logging roads we can use, I'd love to see some Arizona off-road pics.
Just to give me an idea what I'm missing and all.

Welcome James. Glad to have you here. Lots of good folks and one old grouch (who we ignore) hang out here and we love to hear about new bikes and new places.

Ride report, with pics, while we are frozen in this winter would be great!

Welcome James - awesome book you referenced

I have read it a couple of times, also got the sequel.

Anyway enjoy your ride and check in often.
