From Bikes in the Fast Lane: Amazing! Man owned every BMW motorcycle model

The article is about a Dutch collector of BMW motorcycles. He has died and his collection is be sold by Bonhams in auction at the BMW Museum in Munich Nov 29, 2009.
 
Great story - would have liked to have had more shots of his collection - the list is amazing, starting with 1924 models!

Thank you for that link. Very interesting. Too bad the guy who wrote the article couldn't figure out that the 1953 ISDT R68 which likely did win the ISDTthat year on the IOM; but didn't win the IOM TT

Wow! It's too bad that the collection can't be maintained in one piece. It's a shame to break it apart. The maintenance on that many bikes would be a full-time job ÔÇö even if they're rarely, if ever, ridden.
 
Perhaps his hiers are only selling part of the collection and are off riding the ones they are keeping.
