How would you Modernize an R100RS?

Well as times have changed so have my intentions :)

I have a sickness :blush and really like the Airhead RT's nearly as much as my G/S's

My plans are to rebuild a R100LT, Yes 'LT' was an Australian Model only, into my main Tourer. I bought a bike that was going to be Steampunked and caught it before it was too late ;)

I want to run the heavy flywheel, and set the suspension up nicely. I have been slowly accumulating all the parts and will bring it back to Classic Black Metallic. I have the K series panniers and most of the other parts except the Screen :drink

How it should look when finished, except for the funny mirrors

However. . . . .

I have enought parts to build up another R80RT which will be a dirt road tourer which I will be happy to document if there is ineterest. It will be a bit 'Junkie' as its for a fundraiser I run down under for Down Sydnrome NSW called Scrapheap Adventure Ride. In our 9th year and raided over $600,000 riding wrecked bikes all over the state. Bottom pictures are two bikes I built. XR460/4 out of a CB400/4 and a RVPE175 build out of a RV125
