Hi Everybody,
After a lengthy absence from motorcycles I recently purchased a new R1200GS and looking forward to riding and sharing experiences with everybody.

Welcome Doubleplay. Good for you to get a GS as a re-entry bike after a long absence. They are certainly one of the more popular BMW's and a great handling street bike as well.
