Hi all,

I am a new member to the BMOOA. I presently became the proud owner of a 1977 R75/7 BMW that my Dad used to own (inherited it off him). Dad purchased the bike new and it only has 30,000 km's on it. Dad did have a few bikes in his stable so hence the few miles on the Beemer. I got the bike going after it was stored for the past 5 years and just finished riding it 900 miles from Dawson Creek, B.C. (start of the Alaska Hwy) to my home on Vancouver Island.

I look forward to gaining knowledge and tapping into advice from members of the forum. My other bike that I tour on is a 2004 Goldwing.

regards,

John

You live in some of my favorite riding country! BC is just beautiful all the way from the coast to the mountains approaching Lake Louise. Highway 99 from just north of Cache Creek to Vancouver is just stunning. All the BC BMW folks I know are pretty avid riders and a good lot. Congratulations on your /7. You can't help but have fun on it over such great roads.
