I,ve finally made the purchase, a dream long in coming. I've bought my first BMW, it's a 2003 F650GS, 13,000 miles, very clean. At 53, and with my kids happily self sufficient I felt that it was time to stretch out and have some well deserved fun. Honestly, I must say, that I don't know a whole lot about this bike but I do know that I love the way it feels. Last weekend I rode over to the Maine coast, solo trip packed with all my camping gear. A real feeling of freedom, which I know I will enjoy again in the future. Any and all advice is greatly welcome. I live in northern vermont, hope to see many years of this type of fun.:thumb

Hi Welcome Aboard - check out the bike specific forums for information on your bike.

I see you found the regionals - great information for events near us, I am in Mass.

Will move your post over to New Member for a rousing welcome from all.

Welcome to the family!

There is a ton of info and friendship to be found here. And iff you haven't found it yet, the Chain Gang site is a must for 650 GS owners. Anything you need to know about the bike can be found there. The Chain Gang

Look out for those Chain Gang guys, they will want to make you an "Inmate". :laugh
