RT Headlight Lens

I need some help with my 1150 RT. I have been trying to take off the headlight lens (without breaking it) but with no success. I have it striped down and the light housing on the work bench. I removed the 5 clips that hold the lens but the lens is now held on by the seal. I call 2 area BMW dealers and they said it is not removable. Has anyone had success removing this lens? Thanks RD/RT
 
I feel your pain, been there. I have the same bike and I get water inside the housing from washing the bike or riding in the rain. Now there is a foggy build up on the inside. I'll be watching to see if any one posts with a answer.
