Only 1% of corn in the USA is sweet corn!
It's surprising how many people think sweet corn, pop corn and field corn are the same plant.

Like the Feds think hemp and marijuana are the same plant?

Sunflowers are interesting: They are a cash crop in North Dakota, the State Flower of Kansas, and a noxious weed in many counties in Iowa.

I have a younger friend from Iowa who fervently suggests if it isn't Iowa sweet corn, it's only one step above pig corn😀. Every year we get treated to the best of the sweet corn pick from Iowa after a carefully planned vacation trip back to the farm in Iowa by my friend at picking time😀. Guess there is a lot of discussion in corn country as to who has the best. Either way I agree that it sure is a great treat during the summer.

Well they make gasoline out of Sweet Crude, so why not make ethanol out of Sweet Corn?
