how to upload small pic?

Go to you User CP (control panel) and go into the menu item on the left hand side that says EDIT AVATAR.
Once there select either a predetermined avatar or, select custom avatar.
The custom avatar (picture) needs to be hosted by a picture hosting site and needs to be of a specific size 19.5 kB or 70 x 70 pixels; whichever is smaller.
Then you paste the url of the picture and then save changes
