Integral Side bag locks

I'm presently having my bag lids painted. Painter has drilled out the rivets to remove the locks and now I realize that my rivet gun is too large to get into the recess hole to replace rivets. Recess is quite a bit smaller than the gun head. My internet search doesn't reveal smaller guns.
Anybody have any experience with this problem?? Solution!!!
These integral bags are off my K75S and will be mounted on my '86 R80. Got the brackets and everything fits well now my problem is finding a rear rack to match this setup!! Anybody done what I'm trying and have suggestions??

Jim

The rivets go in from the inside of the bag, out through the bag, and through the holes in the latches. I think there will be lots of room to do it this way, with the rivet tool inside the bag.

I just did mine using this gun:

pretty sure I bought it at Home Depot.
