My son had some good news and some bad news when I got home. He was using my wife's laptop, so I guessed "your computer isn't working?"
That was correct.
The good news was he made me a wonderful tool box, with love in every rivet, and fold.
(see "lookit what my boy made!)
The bad news was that his computer stopped, he thought it was the power supply.
I checked it and it was.
The good news was my wife told me a new computer store had opened up 2 miles down the road at the mini-mall.
The bad news was the store was new, the parts (mostly) were used. They had one power supply (unboxed/used) sittng on a shelf, and it was for a older model motherboard.
The good news was she said she had a whole box full of them, as she walked to the back of the storeroom.
The bad news was the next one she handed me was also for an older model,
The good news was she found some newer model ones that were a hundred watts more powerful than the one he had.
The bad news was, I had 19 dollars cash, and it was 20.
The good news was they took CC's.
The bad news was that the power supply didn't appear to work when I "tried" it before we ate supper.
The good news was, after supper, I realized I had not connected the front power switch, and his computer booted right up.
The bad news was I had 15 minutes to do whatever I wanted, then I had to put my daughter to bed.
The good news was I fell asleep too.
