I plan on arriving at the campground Friday afternoon. That way I can get settled in and watch and take pics as others arrive.

I talked to the owner of the campground today, ( Brent ) great guy. He's got quite a few Beemers. He's excited about us coming to his place.

yes, this is a very bmw-friendly place.

for years, this place was owned by turkey tom, who was an early afficianado of the GS, and formed the GS International Club (now dormant, needs to be rekindled).

tom used to put on a GREAT fall rally for GS riders... everyone got lost! (these were the days before GPS)

the airheads hold "the gathering of the clans" there every year... quite an event.

i've not me brent, but when i talked with him on the phone he sounded like he is working hard to make the campground a success.

he offered to have breakfast brought in on sunday morning if we can commit to a decent number of people ahead of time.

Go soothingly through the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon.

Long range weather forecast is looking good for next Friday. Let's hope that it stays that way.
