Slow Death in the Desert - With the Tamarisk trees in the background, these three wooden Southern Pacific chair cars slowly succumb to the elements of wind and sun in the former CZRY (Carrizo Gorge Railway) yard at Jacumba California. These cars were used as MOW worker dorms during construction of the Desert Line at the beginning of the last century and have been surplus ever since.
