Man! I must be gettin' to be an old fart. I really liked Pokey LaFarge; never heard of 'em before, but the 'Zon has lots of their music for sale. This thread has cost me more than some tool threads elsewhere!

Never heard of "Electro Swing" before, but I recall Mr. Scruff as having a sample music track on a prior version of Windows. There are quite a few compilations of this genre on the u-tube; some songs I like better than others. But it was pretty good to listen to whilst doing the 12 k service on my RTW.

Just about anything by Townes is

I was listening to him a couple days ago and on one track (Mr. Mudd & Mr. Gold - Live) he started out by telling a joke that he had heard from Jerry Jeff Walker.

A drunk is staggering down the sidewalk and a cop stops him.
The drunk says, "Officer, someone stole my car!"
The Officer says, "Where was it?"
The drunk says, "Right here on the end of my key."
The Officer says, "Let's go down to the precinct and report it. But first, you better zip up your pants."

The drunk looks down and says, "Oh man, they got my girl too!"

Foxes & Fossils has covered the songs of many groups, but I'm partial to CSN and Young. Check out Suite for Judy Blue Eyes and Helplessly Hoping.

Sometimes I miss listening to "A Prairie Home Companion." The feller that took over has a new show "Live From Here" (Chris Thile) and it doesn't always appeal to me. But, there are times when there is a guest that gives a entertaining performance. Rachael Price, of Lake Street Dive, could sing 'most anything and it would sound pretty good. I particularly liked this song on Live From Here ...
