“Well, does it get any better than singing ‘Let It Be’ with Paul McCartney who wrote the song?" Parton said in a statement. "Not only that, he played piano! Well, it did get even better when Ringo Starr joined in on drums, Peter Frampton on guitar and Mick Fleetwood playing percussion. I mean, seriously, how much better does it get? Thanks guys!

Although I am more a fan of the type of football played with the oblate spheroid and passing and tackling mean something different than for soccer (football for the rest of the world), I recall when this music was the theme for the 1990 World Cup. Pavarotti's rendition of Nessun Dorma really seemed to fit the bill. -

Excellent stuff... I wonder if that was filmed in the California Poppy Preserve in the Antelope Valley, not very far north of here (and Grace still lives in Topanga).
 
RIP Gary Wright- dead at 80.

Had some of his best known songs in the early '70s. Later had some great collaborations with some of musics best.
