Austin City Limits Celebrates 40 Years on June 26th to benefit KLRU-TV, Austin PBS. This special night of music featuring Alabama Shakes, Doyle Bramhall II, Jeff Bridges, Gary Clark, Jr., Sheryl Crow, Joe Ely, Grupo Fantasma, Robert Earl Keen, Kris Kristofferson, Lloyd Maines, Bonnie Raitt, Jimmie Vaughan and more. Hosted by Jeff Bridges and Sheryl Crow. This benefit concert will be recorded and aired on PBS as part of the PBS Fall Arts Festival in October.

Natalie Merchant, 51 today. Wuz pretty good in concert. Some of her best work (IMO) was with 10,000 Maniacs.

 
Bonnie Raitt, 65 today.....or should I say "Bonnie Raitt, much under appreciated singer and songwriter, is 65 today.

Arcade Fire - Sprawl II, which is from their 2010 album The Suburbs. These guys continue to rack up awards, nominations, and TV appearances. they've been on Saturday Night Live a bunch of times, and played with Mick Jagger. Their album Reflektor won Album of the Year and Best Alternative Album of the Year at this year's Junos.
