waterproofing leather gloves??
Just got my 2nd pair of Gerbings G3 heated gloves. The 1st pair were too small at XL. The XXLs showed up today and seem to fit my (normally XL) hands well. I noticed the attached tag advises that the gloves be treated because as is, the leather is not water resistant - only the liner. Typically, if I'm looking for serious waterproofing of leather, I spray on Silicon. However, the same thing that repels water might also repel grip. In other words - It makes the leather slippery.
Anyone have some experience in this realm?

I use Effax ( http://www.amazon.com/Effax-Leather-.../dp/B000QH1GC8 )

I have put Nikwax glove proof on my Gerbing gloves but I have not been in the rain yet.
