Personalized or "vanity" license plates

That would be mine on my avatar...Unfortunately, I lack the patience to figure out how to post pictures here...:blush

On my R1150RS, my R80 G/S and Triumph T100C

I snapped this one today at Max's open house

NH has many series of plates, 16 I think, I can't recall seeing a MC Veteran's plate.
The way the system works is you could register the same tag for each plate series, so it is possible to see the same plate on two vehicles!

I would never pay for a vanity plate, but twice Ohio issued me plates that
serendipitously suited my car back then, a Triumph Spitfire. What are the odds?

You also might want to state what vanity plates go for in your state or province.

At $232.25 :rolleyes for a vanity plate where I live, I have better things to do with my money.

I've had these plates on 4 bikes (transferred) since 2003.

Yamaha V-Star 1100
Yamaha Roadstar
BMW K1200LT
and now on the BMW R1150RT

How much more is that than what the regular plats go for?

Where I live, they cost $40 more than standard plates.

I believe it is about $212.00 for the initial issuance of a vanity plate plus the annual fee here in Alberta. After that, it is simply the annual renewal fee (which is an ever upward moving target). I know this because I researched it when I got my CL. I posted pics of the bike over on the Rounders forum when I bought it. One of my fellow Rounders suggested that, because of all the chrome, that it could be called an R-LEY :D

I agree with Alex -- I've got better things to spend my money on -- like fuel.

And once again, they stick it to us motorcyclists.

Vanity plates for a car are the same price, but they get two of them. We get a fraction of the real-estate, get a single plate and all that for the same price.

Go figure! :scratch
