Winter Riding... Real Winter Riding

That's what you get when you use a Brown's side stand on soft ground.

Actually, looks like it could be fun. Get bike back up on 2 wheels and wear really big shoes for outriggers. Weeeeeeeeeeeee:brad :clap :bliss :boldpurpl

How about some of these:

Ha! Years and years ago, I got to ride through a rather significant December snowstorm in New England. No sidehack. The only ones out were us and the snowplows. It was absolutely dumping down snow, wet heavy stuff. That was....interesting. I lost track of the number of times it laid down on the road, but we eventually made it.
IIRC, we got something like 9" out of that one.

Wait till you get snow that goes up to the cylinder head of a single, or when its freezing rain out.

Been there, done that, daily to and from work...in the Great White North.

Been there, done that! :bolt

In 1986, woke up to 4" of slushy snow after Thanksgiving evening in MSP. Needed to be in DTW on the first. Ace Hardware bailed me out with 3/8" hex screws to do their winter voodoo on my /6's 1K old connies. Made it to Wisconsin first day, then Chicago the next, on to DTW on the final day. Visegrips were used to pull out the ground down tips each day.

J.K. :wow

P.S. Nothing like an 18 wheeler slingging slush to suck the life out of you. No electrics or heated grips, either. Like icying on a plane, I had to excercise my "control surfaces" to prevent them from freezing up in 25F snowy weather.
