Hello all.
I just changed to a new set of Pirelli Diablo Strada and thought I would post some pics. This is my second set, and chose them again because of how pleased I was with the first.
First off let me state that I ride a 2000 R1100RT in the northern midwest. I ride in all weather conditions and temps, and have the luxury of dodging Chicago potholes! I don't hit the concrete slab much so almost all of my miles are suburban roads, and being in Illinois, don't even ask if I ride a lot of twisties...to date we have only 3! I am 6'1", 210 lbs, and do not ride like I am at a track day. I would call me average for what ever that means. I got 9500 miles out of my first set, and even with the loss of tread, still rode in the rain up until I changed them. (I just took corners slow) So, all things considered (ride comfort, wet weather ability, longevity, cost, performance for the occasional sprints) I highly recommend these tires.
Hope this helps anyone looking for new tires. If anyone is about to change theirs for another brand, I hope you will be able to post some similar shots so that we can get some more real life performance specs.
The usual: I am not getting anything out of this other than knowing I have potentially given others a real world view point about a product. (Sad that we even have to say that, isn't it!)
