What's involved in removing final drive to change input seal?

I think the title says it all! While I have the wheel off for a tire change I was thinking about fixing that annoying stain that appears on the final drive below the rubber bellows. It must be the seal on the final drive leaking into the bellows. Is this a simple job while the wheel is off? thx

If it is only a stain, leave it alone. They all do it.

If you have to regularly top up the final drive oil, then you need to do something about it.

Okay, thanks. But that means I may have to wash this thing a few times a year to remove said stain. At least that's how the HD riders at work see me. I tend to ride more than wash. Not so with the HD group. Too much chrome to keep clean. I just want to ride!!!!

That AVD was a nice post and explained it very good. Should't be a hard fix, did mine at the Duham BMW Motorad in Whitby,Ontario. Only cost $100.00 do do.:whistle :gerg :ca
