2008 Rally Charity Challenge

The Annual Charity Challenge has been labeled "The Port Washington BMW Club Challenge." 15 years ago, the Port Club initiated the challenge to raise funds for a local national rally charity.

Your Chartered BMW MOA club has been challenged to match the Port's initial donation of $100.00 for the local charity. Many meet or exceed that challenge, and the Chain Gang has "raised the anty." Their challenge is $650.00.

In 2008 we are helping Y.E.S. House (Youth Emergency Services, Inc.). Y.E.S. House helps at-risk children and their families make progress towards a brighter future, and strive to keep children safe and healthy. They operate on a "bare-bones" budget, trying to bring smiles to the face of a child who needs to believe the community cares about him or her. Let's see what we can do about putting lots of smiles on those faces.

We are once again asking your club to meet or exceed the charity challenges. Donations should be made payable to BMW MOA, noting "National Charity" in the memo section, and send to:

LetÔÇÖs add your Club to the list of supporters.

P. S. If youÔÇÖre heading to Gillette, during the rally be on the lookout for the roving 50/50 ticket sales people. Britta Rottschy and many volunteers will be on site selling tickets. Winners will be drawn throughout the rally and will be posted at the charity table. 50% of the proceeds will be contributed to the Y.E.S. House, and 50% of each drawing will be given to the lucky ticket holders. Let's keep those 50/50 volunteers busy and raise money for a great cause. If you're interested in volunteering during the rally, please contact holdertight@hotmail.com.
