In going through a '65 R50, both turn signal bulbs are burned out. They're #6807, 6Volt 18Watt (3Amp) 3AG fuse style with pointed ends. Directions to a good, inexpensive supplier appreciated.....
 
I don't know if you will find them, but JC Whitney used to carry a lot of stuff like that. just put their name in your browser, and you will find them. I used to spend hours looking at their full catalog when I was young. I loved the illustrations, all in black and white, and never a photograph.
 
I appreciate the thought (we're probably of similar age; Re: catalog browsing). They were one of the first hits on Google, but alas, unproductive. To your point, 6 Volt vehicular has been off radar a Long Time. I'll let this perculate a day or 3, but am prepared to fab an adapter to a currently available form factor.
 
Another good outlet for vintage parts is Re-psycle BMW parts, 614-837-1160. On small orders their shipping rates are very reasonable!
