New Front brake hoses

Many moons ago I started some maintenance on my bike 1996 K1100RS and in between then and now I a suffered broken leg and the project got set aside for a time. I bought new brake hoses all around, removed the old ones some time in the past and this past weekend tried putting on the new ones. The maintenance manual shows the bend in the banjo fitting on the brake and on the "y". They seem to fit ok with the bent banjo fitting end on the "Y" but the bend in the hose seems kind of sharp. I am trying to maintain the clearance with the wheel fender. All you K1100RS owners, where is the bent banjo fitting end of the hose, on the "Y" or on the caliper? My memory fails me and I should have taken pictures. Thanks for your help in advance.

Front Brake Hoses

It sounds like you got hoses for a K100RS. Your bike's hoses should have a bent banjo at the "Y" and thread directly into the calipers.

ok maybe I wasn't clear. They do thread directly into the caliper and the banjo fitting is at the "Y". But the book shows what looks like banjos at both ends. It the Clymer book. Maybe they are showing the K100 or K75 arrangement. They are bad images and I can't make out too much detail. The lengths are the same new vs old and maybe the new ones a tad longer. I believe I have it right but the bend in the hose is hard on the eyes.
