That's an awesome photo. You should frame that one and hang it on a wall!

Guesseppiie is our resident Italian American in the club he's on the left (my right in the picture). This was the stage Coach ride, last day of the year ride. It was an awesome day, evidenced by that big ole smile on my face.

Out near Comfort and Luckenbach/Grapetown is this abandoned RR trestle over the Guadalupe River, circa 1900 according to some articles and a year badge on the newest looking section. It was part of the San Antonio to Kerrville line many years ago and near the spur with a different line that goes towards Fredericksburg and the old bat tunnel that is now a small state park along Old Number 9 road.

The county road used to wind along the riverbed crossing under this trestle and was often underwater. We rode on the lower road and often made a go-no go call depending on depth and current. The new bridge was also under in the big flood in 2013-2014 and still has some leftover flood debris on it. You might see the debris in the cypress trees as well. Recall a large section of the guardrail missing for months.

Seemed like a lot of $$ spent on this out of the way crossing...but it's here.

There is a small county park here now as well, have not seen if it is still intact after the flood. The trestle is on private land now with exception of park area

The weather has been great the last week or so with highs 60 to 70. Got out on the bicycle 5 days. Rain on Monday which washed the salt off the roads so I got the bike out yesterday and today for the first time since November..
Here's today's picture.
